Week of Oct. 26th Webinar Recap - Catch Them On-Demand

Our Sac IEDC program participants enjoyed a great webinar lineup the week of October 26.

On Tuesday, October 27 the Sacramento Asian Pacific Chamber of Commerce presented Confidentiality/Privacy and HR Laws, taught by Chris Alvarez of Fisher Phillips. This webinar included topics sought to help small business owners adhere to the latest government guidelines on confidentiality, privacy, and HR laws of staff and customers. It provided an overview of employee health screenings, preventing stigma and discrimination, and avoiding making determinations of risk based on unlawful reasons. The webinar gave guidance to assist employers and employees with frequently asked questions about how adhering to current policies and aspects associated HR laws and privacy issues regarding COVID-19. 

The Sacramento Asian Pacific Chamber of Commerce hosted Tips for Presenting Your Request for Financing the following day, on October 28, taught by Constance Anderson from The Center by Lendistry. This webinar focused on an overview of tips for presenting a request for financing. Information included details about choosing a reliable lender, understanding multiple benefits of financing, a description of how your business will use the funds, and more. 

On Thursday, October 29 Hacker Lab presented two webinars; the first of which was Marketing and Communications in A Digital World: Find Your Messaging Needle in the Marketing Options Haystack. Taught by Dan Casas Murray of The Lean Innovator, this presentation covers the many forms of communication available to small business owners, from driving traffic to your website, social media marketing, and email newsletter strategies.

Later that evening, Joey Nizuk taught Setting up a Website 101 with a Branded Email. He reviewed the basics of setting up your DIY website, including registering your domain name, website design basics, and even generating leads from your site.
