Week of Nov. 9th Webinar Recap – Web-Based Resources and Your Return-to-Work Plan

The week of November 9th had another great webinar lineup from our partner organizations, with a range of topics to help Sacramento small business owners during these unprecedented times.
Hacker Lab hosted two webinars last week, starting with Setting up a Website 101 with a Branded Email on 11/11. Taught by Joey Nizuk, this class covered the basics of setting up a website for your small business with ZERO coding experience, on the most popular hosting sites. He also covered tips on setting up that coveted custom-branded email address to make you look super professional!
On Thursday, 11/12, Hacker Lab also hosted Telling Your Story Successfully to Drive Sales. This webinar was taught by Dan Casas-Murray of The Lean Innovator and reviewed best practices for telling your brand story in a compelling way, that places your customer in the Hero role. This webinar is a must for anyone struggling with copy on a website, social media posts, and advertising.
The Sacramento Asian Pacific Chamber of Commerce also hosted two webinars this last week; Developing a Return to Work Safely Plan. This two-part webinar series, held on 11/12 and 11/13, was taught by Steven Dilbert of Impact Foundry. These webinars covered the framework for understanding and implementing Coronavirus mitigation guidelines set by the state of California, medical professionals, and the CDC. Steven provided training on core health and safety principles like the hierarchy of hazard control and risk assessment and tied these concepts into practical applications for your return-to-work strategy.
